TEEGAN
Teegan, born Clifton George Rattigan, is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist known for his conscious lyrics, soulful vocal delivery, and roots-inspired sound. Raised in St. Mary near Ocho Rios, he developed his passion for music through local performances before moving toward a more professional career. Before fully pursuing music, Teegan worked at a hotel and as a barber to help finance his vocal training. His breakthrough came in 2009 with the hit single “It Nuh Pretty,” which helped introduce him to the conscious reggae scene. His style blends traditional roots reggae with modern dancehall, making him a versatile artist with a sound often compared to the late Garnett Silk. He has also expanded his reach through international collaborations and projects such as Oneness Records’ Outernational Riddim.
